Lizeth Pedraza

PhD student

I’m psychologist, mastered in neurosciences at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2016. I’m currently a PhD student. My principal research interest is about learning and memory, focusing in the molecular and anatomical correlates of formation, consolidation,  reconsolidation, and extinction of aversive memories.

My research projects include studying the:

  • dynamic nature of systems consolidation
  • neurobiological mechanisms underpinning the time-dependent forgetting of long-term memories
  • consolidation of multiple memory traces
  • Extinction and memory precision.
