I am associate professor in Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. From March 2017 to February 2018, I was an academic visitor at the University of Edinburgh. Since 2016 I hold a scholarship as Productive Researcher from CNPq. I'm also member of the Enactive Cognition & Narrative Practices Research Group (University of Wollongong).

I have been working on problems at the interface between epistemology, general philosophy of science and philosophy of cognitive sciences, such as the new riddle of induction, the myth of the given, the theory-ladenness of observation, and questions concerning the nature of perceptual experience, its relation to action and its epistemic status. In my current research, I approach some of these epistemological problems from an enactive and ecological view of the mind.
