João Plínio Juchem Neto

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and International Relations at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), where I teach courses in Mathematical Economics, Microeconomics, and Spatial Economics, and in the Graduate Program in Economics.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics (2004), a Master's degree (2008 UFRGS & 2011 University of Delaware), and a PhD (2013) in Applied Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2023) from the UNINTER International University Center.

My research interests include: Mathematical and Computational Modeling in Spatial, Regional, and Urban Economics, Economic Growth, and Industrial Organization.
