I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics (DMPA) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, and a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Applied Mathematics (PPGMAp). My research spans two quite different areas of mathematics: harmonic analysis and evolutionary game theory. In harmonic analysis, I work in dyadic harmonic analysis and weighted theory. This line of work grew out of my doctoral research at the University of New Mexico, as a Fulbright student under the supervision of Cristina Pereyra. In evolutionary game theory, I study evolutionary games on networks (EGN), focusing on their mathematical foundations. This second line of work began during my postdoctoral research at IMPA, supervised by Jorge Zubelli in collaboration with Chiara Mocenni. I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Department and as Regional Coordinator of OBMEP (the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools). My teaching includes Financial Mathematics (distance learning) and a range of undergraduate mathematics courses, as well as graduate courses in Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, and Evolutionary Game Theory. Among my collaborators are researchers from Brazil, Italy, and the United States. The University of Siena has been a particularly important partner in my academic journey, through a series of collaborative projects, visits, and joint activities. |
