Professor Associado do Departamento de Urbanismo da UFRGS e Coordenador (2022/2024) do PROPUR, com mestrado em Planejamento Urbano e Regional e doutorado em Engenharia de Transportes no PPGEP/LASTRAN da mesma instituição. Doutorado com estágio CAPES PDSE no “Laboratório da Forma Urbana” da Universidade de Washington, EUA, dirigido por Anne Vernez-Moudon.

Pesquisador visitante (“pós-doc”) em Mobilidade Urbana em 2018 na Oxford Brookes University a convite do “Global Challenges Research Fund” e em 2022 na Universität Hamburg, a convite do Projeto COVIDGI da Fundação Volkswagen.

Na UFRGS integra o Grupo de Pesquisa e Extensão “Saúde Urbana, Ambiente e Desigualdades”, tendo atuado no "NTU - Núcleo de Tecnologia Urbana" e no "Nuitran - Núcleo Interdisciplinar de Trânsito".

Pesquisador responsável em Porto Alegre de 2016 a 2019 pelo Projeto internacional "HUM/MUS - Mobilidade Urbana Saudável", financiado pelo ESRC Britânico e a CONFAP.

Juntamente com Vinícius Netto e Renato Saboya foi editor da "RMU - Revista de Morfologia Urbana", periódico da rede "PNUM - Portuguese Network of Urban Morphology".

Especialista em análise espacial, SIG e estatística, conduz pesquisas com métodos mistos e abordagens multidisciplinares na área da Saúde urbana, com foco nas relações entre a mobilidade urbana e indicadores epidemiológicos.

Coordena o projeto "MOBILIDADE ATIVA, SAÚDE E BEM-ESTAR: ANÁLISE MULTIESCALAR DA CAMINHABILIDADE EM CIDADES BRASILEIRAS", financiado pelo CNPQ, vinculado ao "Desafio das 1.000 Cidades" do "Observatório Global das Cidades Saudáveis e Sustentáveis".

Integra o projeto "DESIGUALDADES SOCIAIS, AMBIENTE ALIMENTAR, ESTADO NUTRICIONAL E DOENÇAS CRÔNICAS NÃO TRANSMISSÍVEIS NO RIO GRANDE DO SUL: UMA ANÁLISE ECOLÓGICA GEOESPACIAL", coordenado pela Profa. Raquel Canuto (PPGANS/UFRGS) financiado pela FAPERGS e vinculado à "Rede Brasileira de Pesquisa em Ambientes Alimentares".

Associate Professor at the Department of Urbanism of UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) and Head (2022/2024) of PROPUR (Postgraduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning), with a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from PPGEP/LASTRAN at the same institution. The Ph.D. included a CAPES PDSE internship at the "Urban Form Lab" at the University of Washington, USA, under the supervision of Anne Vernez-Moudon.

As a visiting researcher ("post-doc"), he studied Healthy Urban Mobility in 2018 at Oxford Brookes University, invited by the "Global Challenges Research Fund," and in 2022 at Universität Hamburg, invited by the "COVIDGI" Project, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.

At UFRGS, he is part of the Research and Outreach Group "Urban Health, Environment, and Inequalities" and have worked at the "NTU - Urban Technology Center" and the "Nuitran - Interdisciplinary Center for Urban Traffic Studies."

From 2016 to 2019, he was the PI in Porto Alegre for the international project "HUM/MUS - Healthy Urban Mobility," funded by the British ESRC and BR CONFAP.

Together with Vinícius Netto and Renato Saboya, they were editors of the "RMU - Journal of Urban Morphology," a journal of the "PNUM - Portuguese Network of Urban Morphology."

Spatial analysis, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and statistics spaecialist, his research involves mixed methods and multidisciplinary approaches in the field of "Urban Health", with a focus on the relationship between urban mobility and epidemiological indicators.

He is the PI of the "ACTIVE MOBILITY, HEALTH, AND WELL-BEING: MULTISCALAR ANALYSIS OF WALKABILITY IN BRAZILIAN CITIES" research project funded by CNPQ (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), associated with the "1,000 Cities Challenge" of the "Global Observatory of Healthy and Sustainable Cities".

He is also associated researcher in the "SOCIAL INEQUALITIES, FOOD ENVIRONMENT, NUTRITIONAL STATUS, AND NON-COMMUNICABLE CHRONIC DISEASES IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL: A GEO-SPATIAL ECOLOGICAL ANALYSIS" project, coordinated by Prof. Raquel Canuto (PPGANS/UFRGS), funded by FAPERGS (Foundation for Support of Research in the State of Rio Grande do Sul), and associated with the "Brazilian Network of Research in Food Environments."
